The broom head bristles are made of broomcorn grown in the Midwest and the handle is made from a small western incense Cedar tree that got cut down during a brush clearing stage of forest stewardship from the land I live on and care for in the Sierra Nevada Foothills in northern California. An added wooden walnut shoulder shawl for aesthetics, plaiting and hanger is done with genuine brown leather, the red and brown/purple stitching on the broom’s head is natural twine. The colored broom corn for extra beauty, I grew.
Cedar trees have ancient symbology and are known for their greatness, nobility, and resistance to decay or incorruptibility. Revered for its spiritual significance for thousands of years, like being burned in cleansing ceremonies for purification.
