The “enemy” is not out there in the world. It is lurking in our own mind, waiting, for the opportune moment to make its move, and it will.

There is no amount of purification, ceremony, or sadhana that can ever remove/destroy it. It only gets quieter, disguising itself within our own dream of life. I would even go so far as to say that as we develop ourselves spiritually and enrich our connection with the divine, it too, is empowered.

As we gather spiritual power, we become a more enticing host for that which seeks to keep humanity in separation and illusion. Separate from the truth that there is no other, and we are one with the divine. Only this cloudy thin veil that exists is within our minds.

I have been aware of the blatant evil of this world for a very long time. I have been subjected to it from a young child, as it was demonstrated to me by those who were responsible for keeping me safe, and shielding me from pain.

I have asked, where does God come in? How is this possible if there is a benevolent creator? I have doubted the idea that my own thought process can be hijacked by something other than me and my own pain and confusion. I would not accept that there was such a thing as an attack from some unseen realm or force.

I have read about it in traditions that I follow, heard the horror stories from first person accounts of those I trust.

I thought my trust in those I love most could never be shaken, and that it would only grow more impenetrable. Silly me! Our impenetrability is ever in flux. It waxes and wanes and is completely dependent on how we are holding our energy field, and the vigilance with which we keep our minds. In the physical world, viruses and bacteria are constantly trying to take hold and given the slightest weakness or gap in our immunity they do. Such is the way for our spirituality, and it begins in our own minds.

As I said before- this force that seeks to shake us, dim our light, and distract us from the mission we have come here with, our duty and vow to the Creator and all that we love, is right there all the time. It is learning as we learn, developing as we develop, and learning exactly how we can be disturbed.

Is it evil? Is it the devil? Where does God come in?

Imagine for a moment, the level of exactness and omnipotence required of a being such as the Creator, God, Brahma. The names are irrelevant. A being such as this has seen everything, and remains steady, upholding that which is, NO MATTER WHAT.

Humans need experience in order to learn. We have all been naive, in many ways, again and again. When we have experiences we have opportunities to learn, if we’re paying attention. This doesn’t need to be some big show. Subtle fluctuations in the way we feel as the quality of our breath adjusts, or certain thoughts go through our head should be enough to inspire a desire to move in the direction of a more harmonious way of being.

Our thoughts are distracted, our focus is diluted. How long have you sat in silence, with absolutely no wavering of your full attention on the divine? Maybe you are able to exist in a relatively unbroken stream of connection during your day, going about your responsibilities and interacting with the world.

Maybe even a whole day, our attention could remain completely unbroken. But how about a month? A year? An eternity…

I believe there is no end to our evolution, only ever expanding levels of responsibility, in the imaginable realms within our humanness and beyond.

We all know of the stories of saints, from every age and every corner of the world. Do they retire?

If countless humans have called upon the Christ, since he has delivered his message so many years ago, and believe wholeheartedly that he exists and helps them, how is it possible that his responsibility ever ends? How do we know we are not destined to be a sun for some other solar system, born billions of years from now in some cosmic womb that is birthing STARS!

The potential future for our life force is unfathomable. And from my own experience, it seems we require some opposing force in order to inspire us to go deeper, higher, more expanded and more able.

This evil, darkness, demons, whatever we want to call it, I cannot see that “it” is anything other than God. If we believe in a creator, a God. How can the demon, or anything else, be anything other than that same creator?

Sneakily and steadily testing our will to show us where and who we really are.

Are we going to choose the stairs of suffering, or the wings to fly?

I continue to see, with greater potency, that our experience is a choice. Yes, there is grief, there is pain, there is overwhelming, even crippling at times, adversity and experiences. Things would get boring without, no?

But what we choose to do with that is an entirely different story.

I have seen, and continue to see that how I keep my field is profoundly impactful on the world around me.

We have the power. We are creating reality. God is working through us.

It is not some new age la la land fantasy.

The ancient texts speak about it from various cultures.

For me it has become very real, and there really is no time to waste.

Oh, a little gossip here, a mildly spiteful thought there.

NO.

If you are reading this still, you likely have had some similar experience or ideals.

If I have inspired even a moment of turning away from that divisive darkness and into this truly awesome roar of awareness, then I have done my duty to some degree.

The invisible aura we create and carry is creating and influencing the world around us.

The thoughts can be invisible viruses or healing balm.

We choose, we are the Creator of our world.

Thank God we have a God to commune with and receive guidance from.

I am a sailor of this force, navigating in beauty with the supreme creator.

Do join me on these glorious seas!
